How long can I rent a scooter or powerchair?

Our rent term length varies from 6 months, 12 months, 18 months and 24 months. The longer you hire the scooter for, the cheaper you pay per week!

What is the cost of delivery?

We provide free delivery on all hire scooters & powerchairs to England and Wales, and an additional charge of £75 to Scotland. We do not deliver to Northern Ireland.

What happens when my term ends?

You will be given the option to either purchase the mobility scooter or powerchair at a discounted rate, or to have the mobility scooter or powerchair collected for free. Please call us on 01903 232326 and ask for an end of term purchase for a great deal.

Insurance & Roadside Recovery

Our 12 months insurance and roadside recovery worth £160 will be included in the price, provided by First Senior.

What happens if I damage my scooter or powerchair?

There will be no charge. We ask that you please look after your scooter/powerchair, and any major damage will be covered with insurance. If your scooter is in for maintenance, we’ll give you a replacement to ensure you stay mobile.

How does payment work?

The first 8 weeks of the term will be taken as a deposit payment. After the deposit has been paid, we will setup the weekly or monthly payments.

What if the scooter is not right for me?

Starting from the day your scooter is delivered, you’ll have a 2-week cooling-off period. If you decide for any reason not to keep your scooter, we’ll arrange a collection (£75) and provide a full refund.

Cancellations

If you want to cancel your order before it has been dispatched, please call 01903 232326 to request a cancellation. We aim to dispatch orders quickly to avoid delay, so if you want to cancel your order, please do so as soon as possible. Once we’ve dispatched the items to you, we won’t be able to process the cancellation and you will have to follow the returns process below which come with their respective charges.

Returns

While we hope each and every one of our customers are happy with their purchase, we understand that sometimes this isn’t the case. We have a simple returns policy to make the process as easy as possible:

You have the right to return your order within 14 calendar days of receiving the item(s). Your item has to be in original packaging and unused. After this period, we cannot accept any returns. A £75 fee will be charged for the collection of all mobility scooters, powerchairs, and rise and recline chairs during this period.
Please note that in order to receive a full refund, the product(s) must be returned in a complete, unused and undamaged condition, as well as in the original packaging.
In order to cancel your order, you need to contact us by telephone to notify us that you want to cancel the order.
The cost of recollection of the scooter will vary depending on the product purchased.

Returned Item Conditions

If the product(s) are not returned in the original condition, Kardinal Independent Living reserves the right to charge for the repair or replacement of the product(s). While we are happy for you to unpack the item to inspect it, if you’ve used or installed it, we can only make a partial refund to cover the loss in value of the product. This can be up to 50% of the price of the item.

Unfortunately, we can’t accept returns on product(s) that are Made to Order or have been adapted in any way to suit your requirements. A refund can only be provided if the product(s) arrive faulty, damaged or incorrect.
